HANNAH HOEKSTRA
A former Dutch Shooting Star, Hannah Hoekstra caught the eye with her brilliant central performance in HEMEL for which she won a Golden Calf award. Hannah has been working in theatre, film and television ever since with leading roles in APP, THE FURY – for which she won another Golden Calf – and ARTHUR AND CLAIRE. Some of Hannah’s other work includes: ‘Delphina’ in Paula van der Oest’s drama, KLEINE IJSTIJD; in the Amazon Studio Series YOU ARE WANTED; as ‘Ingrid’ in CHARLIE’S ANGELS directed by Elizabeth Banks; opposite Jemaine Clement in Tim Mielants’ drama PATRICK, which won the Crystal Globe Award at Karlovy Vary; in thriller MAGIC MOUNTAINS directed by Urszula Antoniak; as ‘Femke Pieters’ in the crime series AMSTERDAM UNDERCOVER; playing ‘Mia’ in the Netflix’s award-winning comedy series HOW TO SELL DRUGS ONLINE; and in the thriller FAITHFULLY YOURS directed by André van Duren. Hannah is also known to international audiences for her role as ‘Aloy’ in the hugely successful HORIZON ZERO DAWN gaming franchise which has sold in excess of 20 million copies worldwide. Most recently, she played the role of ‘Elsa’ in the comedy thriller COCAINE BEAR, which was directed by Elizabeth Banks; and ‘Yara Backer in FAITHFULLY YOURS.
