DON’T LET THE SUN to premiere at Locarno

The feature film DON’T LET THE SUN, directed and co-written by Swiss filmmaker Jacqueline Zünd, will have its world premiere at the Locarno Film Festival. The film stars Levan Gelbakhiani as ‘Jonah’, a young man working for an agency that provides human connections in a society marked by isolation. When Jonah is hired to play the role of a father for a 9-year-old boy, his routine is disrupted, prompting him to confront new emotional challenges. The cast also includes Karidja Touré, Agnese Claisse, and Cecilia Bertozzi. It is produced by Louis Mataré for Lomotion and previously received recognition at the Marché du Film in Cannes. This year’s Locarno Film Festival will take place from 6 to 16 August 2025.
